KAUSERN MOVIE REVIEWS: TOP 10 MOVIES OF 2018

2018 has been a busy year at work, thus the significant reduction of movies I managed to catch in the cinema halls. All in, I only managed to catch 36 movies; 7 movies lesser than 2017 and 11 movies lesser than 2016.

How I ranked my top 10 list? I included all the movies that were released in Malaysian cinemas in 2018. Meaning: Eventhough some of these movies were released the year before in the States but was only shown in Malaysia in 2018, it will still be qualified for the Top 10.

Ok, let's get on with it, shall we? (Click on the titles to open up the full review)

Went in with a cynical "Malaysian movies can wan or not?" but left with a “Sign me up to be a soldier now!”

Not your typical superhero movie. A memorable antagonist. Wakanda Forever!

The overall Jurassic series has just been recycling itself but this 5th installment took risk and it paid off. Can’t wait to see where the filmmakers will take us to in the next one.

Tragic, honest and amusing. This film took me to unpredictable places.

Totally bias as I have the heart of a teacher and a soft spot for the marginalized. Moreover, the final fight is creative, realistic and painful looking.

A much bigger film than its predecessor but in a good way. Brutal and ugly with some unbearable moments of dread.

Raw and absolutely heartbreaking.

The best animated motion picture of 2018 (I’ve not seen such brilliant animations before. WOW) and also the best big screen Spider-Man to date!

Such an innovative way of telling a familiar story! Glued to the screen(s) throughout.

Thanos. Tragedy. And that shocking ending.

And here's an entertaining video I found on YouTube  - a montage of 2018 movies. Enjoy!
